Introduction

Hello my name is Katie Cashman. This is my first year at ARCC, I attended last year but through PSEO. I am 18 years old and just moved out on my own this last weekend! Which i am very excited about! I've always been the youngest in my family and defiantly got treated like the youngest but now i am the first to move. That caught my parents off guard. I attended Anoka High School and graduated with highest honors. I love taking art classes and English classes. Not so much math and science. I am currently taking all online classes through AR because of my work schedule. I have two jobs working as a PCA and at a salon in Andover. I work over 50 hours a week and it's defiantly a lot to handle. In the free time i manage to get I love being outside. Camping, Fishing, Hiking... You name it. Now that winter is approaching I have snowboarding to look forward to.
I am not sure where I see myself in the future. I would love to work with people, Kids in particular. I love to write so we will see if that takes me anywhere.
Well that's me in a nutshell.

  1. Congratulations on moving out! I was really young when I first moved out too - I was only 19 and I moved 2000 miles away. I guess we're both a little crazy ;). I have one job, but I work 65 hours a week! Crazy huh? So are you taking classes part time or full time? I am only taking two classes, due to my work schedule, I wish I could take more but there is no way I'd be able to get it all done!

  2. It sounds like you're a go-getter, Katie. I'm always to delighted to hear about students taking advantage of the PSEO program; it's such a great way to jump start your college years. I think you'll find this class quite enjoyable, and I'm glad to see you enrolled in it.

  3. I go to Anoka High School! You graduated with highest honors wow. I plan on graduating with just high honors. That's cool you love to snowboard, I do too. Where is your favorite place? This is my first year doing PSEO and I'm a little nervous, were you when you were doing it?
